Hey about the tether, I screwed up and bought the wrong tether, the one i got was for i think an closed switch, so I used it anyhow and now it acts as my switch. I cant remember exactly if the cat is an open or closed switch, but I know either way having now key is good for me. I tend to misplace keys or loose them randomly!!! I wired the tether as an inline option not wire to wire. Hope that helps!
