Belize in February

Hi
We just booked air fare for two weeks in Belize in February, rooms and or hotel to come later
Anyone out there ever been to Belize, if so any advise would be great
From what I've seen on line it's safe to rent a car and see the country

We went there last year for 2 weeks thhe last week of Jan and first week Feb
Stayed most of the time on abergris caye in an air bnb
Spent a few days on the mainland and rented a car and drove to orange walk
No problems iether place
The island is pricey but a great place to see
Would have liked to spend more time on the mainland
Lots to see and lots to do
Be prepared to see poverty and poor living conditions
People seem happy and friendly for the most part
Finding a place to stay shouldn't be hard to do
And bring back lots of rum it is awsome
Bought some at the brewery cheep in orange walk
