We have a 8yr old and twins almost 2yrs old, all girls...the shaving the legs topic came up not long ago and I shuttered. Too soon, scary how fast they grow up. Lip gloss is now turning into... wearing lipstick....and bra talk already. Got daddo wrapped around her lil finger. Boys sound like less of a headache but wouldn’t trade them for the world....but maybe a new 850 Polaris but not the world.:)

We have 2 boys who are almost 22 now. Not sure with girls, but 16-18 was the hardest time with them. Even got a grand daughter now who is awesome.
I use to tell people I wouldn't give them up for a million dollars, but I also wouldn't buy another for a dollar.

I have one 18 year old son and wouldn't change a thing. This year it's not cool to go camping with mom or dad when you can hang out with your buddies. I did mention taking out the boat and got a maybe out of him. He is leaving next month for college and my wife and I are already trying to not choke up about that. I would give my life for that kid. Totally agree with 000sevens the aim in the bathroom sucks.....

10.5 year old daughter has been wearing a training bra for a while. I asked her.... why? You dont have boobs!!!! I need a drink smh

minor... at least your son isn't wearing a training bra.

Its all good it is interesting to watch the evolution of girls keep in mind a teenage girl is the most insecure person in the world.

I hope to think the worst is over now with my 3 daughters as they are 29, 26 and 19. During their teen years 'dad" was put on the back burner for a while as all they had on their mind was boys but now they are coming full circle back. My 2.5 year old granddaughter reminds me so much of her mom and her aunt I just laugh thinking to myself........ thank God she has another home :). My two grandsons are 1/2 the work that she is. LOL

Ya I guess I got lucky with mine,no real issues,my 2 steps on the other hand have been a nightmare, getting better now they are older,19 and 22 but for alot of years had zero respect for anyone or there stuff,my daughter now 18 has always been a dad's girl and not afraid to get dirty, she quads, jumps and barrel races horses as well as driving our race car so she is always busy and stays out of trouble.Enjoy them while you can she just graduated this weekend and off to college in September, they grow up fast next thing you know you wish they were around more so enjoy the good and bad times. This weekend was the first time I have ever really seen her done up,she is young woman now and starting her own life.sucks for dad great for her.

May the odds be ever in your favor... Dear lord Girls. I got cocky for a while. My kids, all 4 of them, 2 boys and 2 girls are all really good kids that do well in school, really athletic, and overall awesome humans. Usually, teen girls take it out on their mothers. I researched trying to figure out what the flippen H double hockey sticks happened to my girls, and discovered it's a normal thing for girls who are approaching adult hood to turn against mom for a bit. I tell you I was begging my super sexy snow stud for more babies, as I love being a mom, but once teen girl years hit I was blindsided.
We're back on track now the boys are 16 and 20, and the girls are 18 and 22 and we have peace pretty much, but I was the crazy parent threatening a boy with a machete and was so livid I totally could have taken him out. That was a real eye opener for me. No more babies!!! Now I have chocolate labs. Boy dogs, not girl dogs. They listen. I can neuter them and they always love me lol.

Every kid is different and we got a huge variety with our 4.... Oldest girl (26 now) was an honor student and band geek until age 14 then Satan from 15-19. we had to install a security system on the house, not to keep others out but to try and keep her in, that proved unsuccessful, it was a horrible few years, luckily now she has graduated college and provided us with a beautiful grandson and another on the way in January . Next was Brett (23 now) no issues at all, honor student throughout high school, with a job and a car. Took her CET at SAIT with honors, worked for a couple years and now most recently graduated from Lakeland College in environmental science with honors. Sam (20 now) was what I would call "typical" not too much trouble struggled in school, liked the social aspect of her teen years and is now working in Jasper making enough to pay rent and fund her social life. Jesse (16 year old boy) is a gamer & programmer, spends most of his time building games and socializing with his "imaginary internet friends" does well in subjects he likes but not so great when there is little interest. I pretty much have to drag him out on the boat but he will gladly come camping & sledding.

I love them all to death and yes the time flies but I really do look forward to the empty nest years, it's cool to see them find their own way and slowly realize that in most cases we were right.....
