Snow and Mud Webserver

Snow and Mud is almost 16 months old and we are growing very rapidly, so much we have all ready outgrown our second server. If you noticed some we had some problems last night Jan 28, after about 7:00 pm. The server was maxed, with people playing games, accessing the forum, checking out the sites features, playing in the casino and watching video's it hit the max and the server then went into safe mode last night. It just started happening recently, we will be upgrading the server to a few steps up to prevent this. We will be moving the site to a new server late one night this week, could be tonight or tommorow night. If you attempt to get in and you can't thats what happened.

VERY IMPORTANT NOTICE: Re: Webserver

Snow and Mud will be going down for a major server change, early in the morning in the next day or two. We will be upgrading the site to a new server, and new hardrives, if you log on and it goes no where thats what is happening. I requested this happpens after 1 am our time. This would take about 2 hrs to do. The advantages of this will be more speed, less tie ups. The problems we ran into recently were slowdowns due to lack of memory and too slow of a processor. And the server I had was slick, but when your running the games, casino, video gallery, forum, etc., it starts bogging down when you have 60 members on line. So "BOOST" it, I said, so we are going up about 10 steps to a much larger server.

AMD Athlon(tm) 64 4200+ 2.2 GHz Dual Core Processor
2-120GB Sata Drive
2048MB DDR 400 Memory
Centos 4

The new one is:

Single Opteron Dual Core
2-Western Digital 160 Sata Drives
4096MB DDR 400 Memory
cpanel/whm


So it has a mush faster CPU, larger drives and 2 times the memoy

Now there now preparing the computer, they will be installing either tommorow or friday early in the morning.

What He's Trying To Tell Y'all Is That Instead Of Being On The Bottle, He's Adding A Supercharger As Well..... We had some problems last night with the transfer and they are still working on it at this time. Im not sure when they will be shutting it down again but it will be for a short time today.

We are on the new server and as far as I can see its way faster. What do you think?

Also there may be some errors, I found one allready, please let me know.
