haha wont be coming up the hill. i Purchassed it for work. Mapping and inspection. it doesnt film any better than a phantom 4 pro. just gives me the ability to carry 2 upward/downward cameras and different payloads. its an industrial machine.

I unintentionally got into a drone this last summer. I had some mustang parts on a fb page for sale and some dude in a Stony plain contacts me and says he'd take the lot. He mentioned he'd take the stuff on the weekend. I said I was going to be in the grove on the weekend visiting family and I'd save him the trip. I get there, unload the stuff, even helped him work on his mustang for almost a couple hours. I go to leave and was like..."hey Steve, how bout that cash?" He then informs me he wouldn't have it until the end of the month. That's when I started looking around the garage for things of Value. I spotted the original Box for his drone. He said no way you're taking that in trade, another 20min of chit chat and I left with his Drone.
Its nothning current or fancy, just a Phantom 3 advanced. Came with a large pelican case for 90% of transport, a hard shelled backpack for quadind or sledding, 4 batteries, a range extender and 2 chargers. Had 17 recorded flights when I got it.
Not bad I'd say considering I wanted $300 for the lot of parts.

I bought a mavic pro last year with the intention to use it Sxs'ing but where we ride, it is a provincial park and I am not allowed to use it there. Used it 2x in the last 12 months but it has travelled with me all over Canada and even down to Hawaii.

Once you get your drone pilot licence from a school.
Register your drone.
Then the online exam.
I have not done that exam yet. Guys told me it’s a pain.
They whole process is way easier than before and makes it better now to fly in restricted airspace.

Doesn't sound like an easy process at all in my opinion. I've read the the pilot license costs range from$5-800. Then register it with who? My drone isn't a rifle. Phuck that. I'll continue to "fly" under the radar.

haha well Transport Canada regulations overpower whatever website that came from. There is no legislation from Transport canada stating anything about provincial parks as long as your maintaining the TC regulations in regards to airspace,altitudes and distances.
the government will try and confuse you and say you need permission blah blah in an attempt to limit the use of them.
if you read the British Columbia provincial parks statement in regards to drones they try and confuse you there as well. Bottom line tell them to show you the Transport Canada regulation. It doesnt exist to my knowledge.
i like how they say there are " few places if any that permission could be granted" um hello its a provincial park and you only need to be 30 meters away from people. that leaves millions of acres LOL. Also nothing about distances from animals LOL!!! making up their own rules now

even that alberta parks statement is bogus. it is "not allowed" but no reference to any document whatsoever. Just making up their own policies about something they have no control over.
