Lmao, that's a load... where is that poo pulling air from? Air intakes are plugged to start with.
Buddy better look into his sled, there are issues with that turbo, power valves, or clutching, it sounds pretty lazy. He should square off with a stock poo, I'll bet it kicks his a$$ too!!!

longhairfreak puts up a video of an 800 na poo kicking an 850 doo's a$$, and now an 800 cat kicking a turboed 800 poo's a$$????
I need a cat... where do I sign up? Lol

That Alpha must have some crazy track speed. My 13 MTNTK pro with a 174 is spinning at 57 mph. And that cat destroyed that pro in the video. Looks like I will be getting my ass kicked next year.....on another note 2 Alberta dealers are snowchecking alphas 165 for $18000 out the door. Will cost a lot for me to make a real comparison video next year.

Thanks, have got a great price from Eric ( ezsmoke) but I’m waiting for the sneak peek or a demo ride before I drop any cash.

Cat was on the right track with the early releases last year, but it seems they pulled the pin on that program.

Probably the only reason I ended up on one is because I got to try it out.

Why don't you tell us what you really think? I think Doo's must be great because they sure have a loyal following. The new 175 will go where no other stock sled will go. That is at least an accomplishment. If you don't believe this try riding one in bottomless uphill snow.

Any of the 16x" sleds will take guys where they really shouldn't be.

17x" are kinda like the granny que.
Or for the dedicated chute guy.

I'ed like to correct that as it is not quite true. The Doo 175 does very well out there no doubt but on a deep steep day, its left behind by the Winder SORRY....in the trees they are VERY close though but not in the high steep alpine, the Winder eats it alive. NO comparison.
My bud has one, we also have a 165 version, same deal.
These units don't have the power in stock form, maybe with a turbo. You need to be real here. LOL

Ford F-150 is the #1 selling 1/2 ton. Not because they’re any good. Because people are stupid. Good financing and a wink and handshake gets you a pile of crap and people will smile and be happy about it.

This is what i think, putting all prejudice aside. All the sled today work and perform well in all aspects of the mountain backcountry and it really boils down to personal preference.
But even though i believe that is the case all the make excel in certain area's over another. So its all about what you like to do.
Here is how i see it;

Polaris is the master of tree riding and imo no others will run with the Polaris in the think of thing's. So if that's your deal, Polaris is for you.

Cat, even though this new Alpha is coming no one has truly ran this through the paces. It will need a season to see how that work's out and publicity imo is not proof. They could take Polaris's title away for tree riding but only time will tell.
But either way they are "F"n TOUGH, if you want reliability in an all around high performer Cat is your sled.

Yamaha, if your deal is flat out power and reliability, it trumps everything in production yet staying competitive in general handling to its smaller two strokes.

Ski-doo, imo again is an all around sled, easy to ride does well in most all condition's. It's the only sled that works well for new comer's to the sport imo, so well that many never move to other brands. Its a great entry level sled that can hold its own. But to call it the best, it is not.
So if your an older rider an out of shape rider, new to the sport or just don't get the seat time you wish you could the Doo is your ticket as it can make you look good riding. BRP has done a great job in producing a sled that is super easy to ride...maybe too easy for some.

BTW, Yamaha is still the toughest sled to ride today but not by much.
