It's crazy how different the weather has been. Trails up by Drayton Valley have new water holes and puddles where I've never seen them before from the huge amounts of rain and the big holes from past years are just scary now. Put snorkels on this year because of the wet conditions.

Just the opposite in a few areas depending where the rains rolled threw West of RMH.

Some areas are soaked,,, then a few kms up the trail a person finds them selves in a desert. Ha

Sporadic changing conditions for sure.

Ive only been out a few times this year as a new hobby kicked in, but as I dial it in,,, it will put me back into the wilds.

I was lucky since I had a good run threw the winter with my quad with tracks in Alberta and BC, it is so easy getting around on the Snow that I don't really need too practic the summer stuff.

The reason I "want" too ramp things up in the winter is it removes the winter time blues.

30+ years trying this thing called TV as its the biggest waist of time known too humans. At least for me that is. LOL.

Amy Who, lots too tinker at with the new hobby, at least the OHV thing will blend the 2 activities into 1.

good idea to install the snorkels, they tend to eliminate 90% of the accidental water ingestion. have had two or three riders on new machines want to keep there warranty, and not install the snorkels. then ingest water somehow. no warranty and now a big expensive repair bill.

did you install a kit or build your own snorkels?

so looks like i need to do some repair work on the rad washer/bilge pump. an alligator clip crapped the bed. going to extend the electrical wires and maybe add some more length to the outlet hose. this thing works and works well. just need to keep the return water from going directly back into a creek. definitely has saved my bacon more than once.
definite recommend. just don't wait till the overheat light comes on as it may be a bit to the next puddle or stream.

fyi, co-op branded beer is not badly priced. $19.95 out the door for 15 pack. i find it not tasting bad at all. made by big rock brewery!

Well Lar, we may not agree on a bunch lately, but I agree on the beer. I've been drinking the CoOp light for a few months now and i agree it is good stuff. Cheers.

well Dave that is up to you about the agree part. a little less animosity on both our parts goes a long way. i have to be nice now!!!! lol.

always liked riding with you guys, a couple of the antagonists are gone, up to you i have no problem with u. but i just don't take kindly to being threatened after listening to the twisted view of reality and hidden agendas of one or two.

Try Brava beer, about the same price as that and taste good to!

i checked today at co-op, brava was $2 more a 15 pack. co-op 17,95, brava 19.95 , plus taxes plus deposit , lol. really not much difference, always get what tastes good. brava, co-op, brewhouse. canadian! lucky> all good . better when cold and even better when it is cheaper.

by the way when you heading down to west of rocky. should have the Ranger Ride. lol. maybe an all day ride to find Marble Mountain. best time yet.

pm me! we like any atv or SxS or dirt bike. i would like to see less mine is better than yours and way less politics. family type rides, wives, GF, kids etc.

will be west of Caroline, pretty much don't care what you ride, or riding experience, we are like the Marines we leave no one behind, most of us have a lot of years of experience in break downs or what could go wrong. on that note we are being selective on who we let into our group now. we are not for everyone but on the other hand there is no problem with anyone riding with us.

Found a kit at the UTV Canada garage sale this year but even though they said it would work for my commander max it didn't. Going back on shift work this spring didn't leave me with much time so I brought it to Absolute Powersports and he did a good job modifying it to get it installed right.

glad you got it done, absolute does a good job, kits are always fun, alignment and fitting is fun sometimes, and if not having done it before can take a bit of time. custom built takes lots of time getting the right pieces, getting things to fit and sitting, thinking where you the pieces will go.
good that you got it together and working. happy trails and good riding ahead!

Yeah i know it can be done with a homemade kit but this was well worth it for me to get the piece of mind knowing I won't suck any water into the engine. Two weeks off to start August so more riding coming in the near future. We usually spend most our time around Drayton but I'll have to try and find some of you guys if we make it further south. Riding alone has burned me a few times already.
