How much?

What kind of coverage?

And from what company?

Wawanessa wants $800 per season for my 2015 T3.

Is that on par?

Skegpro,

Working in the industry I can tell you that there is a lot more to look at then how much the insurance on your sled costs. You should be reviewing what you are getting. Intact has the best offering out there right now. Replacement cost waiver for 24 months on new sleds (this is HUGE), optional accessory coverage, and the ability to write a stand alone policy are the main highlights.

The replacement cost feature means you will get full value for your sled, instead of Actual Cash Value (depreciated amount), in the event of a total loss. The accessory coverage is worded to include gear as well as additions to your sled. If your trailer got stolen it would save you from having to make a home claim for the gear. Trust me this is a big benefit. The stand alone policy option allows you to separate any losses from your other personal policies. You don't want to be surcharged on your other policies due to a sled loss right?

Just some things to think about. I recommend talking to your broker if you have further questions. Ask for a copy of the policy wordings and actually read them as these are what define what you are truly getting.

Side note... I DO NOT work in Personal Insurance. Just sharing some of the things I looked for when purchasing our sleds policy.

Cheers,
Tyler

Alberta Motor Association. I don't know if you can get it without an AB drivers lic though?
You need to be a member, cost 100$ or 2 a year for a membership I forget the exact price.

They will tow your vehicle for free, come unlock it if your keys are inside(any where in AB) ext.

Cheap insurance is the main reason for me to be an AMA member though.

Thanks for the good info Tyler, I had no idea that was even available. Do you have a contact at Intact you could refer me to?

Also I see with the AMA insurance you need to have Vechile insurance with them to qualify for snowmobile insurance, its an add on.

See I have some Brokers in my area that deal with Intact, including the one I currently deal with..... Makes me wonder why they never mentioned the Intact insurance.

Will investigate further. Thanks again.

I was just going to say that if your currently with Wawanesa your existing broker also likely offers a Intact product. Give them a call, if you need anything further feel free to drop me a message!
