Yep thats what is was today a GONG show.
So my I phone 1 died on Saturday night, I tried to restore it. That wouldn't work from my PC. I tried all the things it said to do on Itunes. All that would display was an apple.
Sunday I was away so thought I would get on it first thing Monday. So at 9:00 went off to the Rogers store, 1st one in Millwoods, Closed. So head to South Edmonton Common. No I phones, No loaners either. He suggests to head to the Apple Store in Southgate mall. So I head there, not much help there, first took a while to even get service after that was told 3-4 hrs to even get the phone looked at, So I ask for a new phone, 3 day wait, then an appointment. Wow! Then I make my way to the Apple store in West Edmonton Mall. As soon as I walked in the door someone helped me right away even though the store was very busy there was alot of staff there to assist. They took my phone and fixed it, reset it back to factory. Checked on the new I phone 4, none available, so added me to the list for Wednesday to get one. Within 1/2 an hour I was on my way. I had a phone that worked again, cleaned blank of all information though. And he said don't plug it into your i tunes either. There must of been some incompatibilities between your PC and the phone. So at least I got my phone to work for the meantime. By the time I got everything fixed it was 1:40 though. Alot of wasted time.
My initial I phone lasted 3 years and 1 month without an issue. :d
