Finally took the plunge into the sledding world - sold the street bike (wife was happy) and bought a sled (then not so happy). I scooped up a new 2016 Summit SP 163" from Turple Bros.
My close friends don't 'do' motorsports activities unfortunately, so I'm looking for opportunities to get out and experience some different riding areas with some new folks. In the past I've been to the Fernie (Morrisey, Pipeline, Wranglers Cabin, up to the Notch) in early 2017 and the Atlas area outside of Blairmore in 2004. I'm interested in giving the Golden area a go - I've heard good things about some of the zones in that part of BC. If anyone wants to give the Fernie area a try I spent 3 days there in late February and I cannot wait to go back. I would still classify myself as a beginner/intermediate rider, but with 5 years of ATV and 10 years of sport bike experience - I'm confident on the machine when terrain isn't too crazy, and I'm not afraid to ham the throttle from time to time.
I've got all the gear (beacons shovel etc etc), just looking for an excuse to take a weekday off - also I have a sled trailer so if anyone is without transportation I can provide a spot on the trailer for some gas money
