So, its slowly starting to build up some snow accumulation here in the Cold Lake area. Im super excited because i have a new 2013 etec summit 800 163" i have to break in before i head to the mountains in December. Has anyone been out around on sled yet or is everyone else waiting for a bit more snow to fall also?

Yeah me and a few of the boys were talking about going for a little tester this weekend also. Apparently out by May Lake there is a little more snow in the trails and around then in town. Did you get a chance to make it down to Valemount this year yet for a good rip in the mountains?

Yeah 4 of us are heading down Dec 27-31 to Valemount as well. Apparently its going to be very busy there because there are no motels, hotels, bed and breakfast or anything that has a room open.

I took mine out on Jesse slough here in town just to make sure everything was good to go but that's about it.
It's too skinny to be doing any ditch bangin.
May lake/ Marie lake should be pretty good as compared to around CL or Bville, I do a lot of work up at Imperial and there is way more up there.

Went out around Cold Lake area over the weekend and youcan get around in areas but like recguy said its pretty skinny. My buddy lives out towards the fish hatchery and he said there is way more snow out towards May Lake & Marie Lake area. I Havent been out around the lake yet...anyone know what the conditions are like yet?
Culvert: Yeah it would be nice to meet up down there over the holidays to put a face with the name...or even around here if we get a chance. There is a group of about 10 or so people that I sled with up here and most of us head to the mountains at least 3 times a year.

I burned to Cold Lake from Ardmore on the Iron Horse Trail. The trail itself is very good, but crossing the Beaver River is a challenge climbing up the North Bank. Without the Trestle repaired yet, have to find a good way around.

This town is starting to get stupid with riders. Today watched a guy ride from 49st up main street to Brady Heigths hill then on the sidewalk to the top of hill & into the trails.
Where do these idiots come from? I'll be out riding the lake with the wife & kids this season & get pulled over or asked for insurance but not these idiots.

Sorry for the rant. Lived here 20yrs & always trailered out of town or used back alleys to the trailer. Not the main damm road!

Does anybody want to to the triangle this coming Saturday? Ardmore North to Marie, etc, then back thru Cold Lake via Beaver River and return to Ardmore by suppertime?
