I bought a 2013 M1100 turbo with some goodies. Don't know much about this beast, but drove a turbo Nytro for many years. What are some things to watch for or good mods to do?
Stock chain & gears are weak links on the 2012 / 13 with power adders - I ended up going to a C3 belt drive. Horsepower increases can be had for minimal cost. I tried to install a mbrp trail can and it appears to be rubbing on the oil line. The sled came with a 3" straight pipe which is too loud for my liking. It looks like a 5" diameter can would fit ok, or I have to reroute the oil line, which I don't want to do. What's a good can to get that's not too loud and is less than 5" in diameter?
Use a torch to soften the loctite.Anyone install a 9-11 cover? I ordered the special tool from cat to remove the jam nut, but I've read this can be kinda tricky to remove because of the green loctite that cat uses. Anyone else have success removing this nut?
