A riding buddy passed away last fall.
His kids asked me what his 2012 Honda Gold wing is worth it has about 51000 km he is the original owner.
The problem with pricing it is he had a 4 wheel trike kit put on this summer.
These use the original drive wheel and put a wheel on either side.
He called them his training wheels.
If he had a " real kit " put on or just left it 2 wheels I could compare to other bikes.
So does the kit help with the price or not?

This is just my opinion. I think the kit will had value to the bike but now you have to find the right buyer. I ride bike but would prefer the gold wing without the training wheels. It`s still winter you may have more interest coming spring time.

People are nuts for Goldwings. Even with the trike kits installed. Price 15-30k. I’d probably start at 25k and try to get 22,500.

I would try market price of the bike + 50% of the cost of the kit if you find a buyer that is looking for a bike set up like this it would be worth more to him but no additional value to other buyers. If it doesn’t sell you could try removing the kit and selling them separately.

He was quoted 25k to install the kit on his 2006, so he sold it and upgraded to the trike.

He had the kit put on this year the it was under 4 grand.
That’s crazy. He told me the name of the shop too. Can’t remember who though. Someone in Alberta. This guy is a serious Goldwing rider. Has had many over many years.

He got it in Duchess Alberta.
Now he was know to stretch the truth a bit.
So not really sure if the $3500 or so is real.
I know what the " real trike kits are worth "
They start at over 10 grand and can go way up.
