I cant decide between a 2007 REV done up by HOLZ. It has holz tunnel, holz full rear skid, holz front suspension, boss seat, slp skis, 159 polaris track, new top end with 3700 miles on chassis. or a 2010 REV XP X with a 163 X 2.5 camo extreme, C3 post forward, heavy rear springs, 3,500 km, black and copper. thanks for any input.

I'd go for the '10 myself. Better chassis and the 07 was not known to be trouble free.

Either way have fun!

I'd go the 2010 also. Hey apparently they aren't any different than the 2013 xm's. Lmao

I've had both. Still have my copper 10 163..

But miss my rev.

I see the 10 has c3 ect so will be better
Put a t motion rear stuff to it and will be as easy to pull over as a rev

Yes some 07 revs had issues but if all fixed they are still right beside a 10 or past it.
Revs are way easyer to pull over and hold a line , the tiped up rear tunnel I also feel u get hung up less with than a xp.

XP for sure. Newer technology and less miles. Those black and copper X's look sweet too.

IMHO, I would go with the bullet proof 2010! No issues on that year. With 3500 kms you will be looking at a top end in the next 1000-2000 kms. Other than that, they were a pull and ride sled.

Yep, 2010 as well.....they got better every year.... the xp allows more choices for rider input as your feet can be placed further forward while standing. The rev's are good, the xp just a bit better. Some people think the rev is better but they didn't adapt to the XP. I had both..... There were engine improvements as well on the 800R for 2010 vs the 2007.

Thanks guys, i,m thinking the 10 also. My current ride is a 07 and its been a great sled but the 3rd motor went last weekend and the chassis has 17,000 km so its retired. The price's are 07 $ 5,500 and 10 $ 7,600.

I would go for the 10 the sled I've got for sale has the post forward mod and it is a night and day between the regular steering position. Feel free to take a look at mine! Haha good luck on the purchase but go for the 10 it will also hold its value a little longer.

Well went with the 10 and 3rd ride out KABOOM ! Looks like ring pin popped out, ring rotated and caught exhaust valve.
Short block on order. Not to Happy to say the least.

And there ya go. Not being rude sorry about your luck sincerely. Once you get anywhere near 3000km it's time for preventive maintenance.

Huh.

So what's 1800 miles ?? In km ??

Pistons should be good to 3000 miles.

Loosing a ring locating pin well that's a diff thing.

U bet it pinged and loosened the pin.

Well I'm close to that.

It will get new isoflux in the fall and new PTO seal.

Still has 130 comp.

And have looked at the pistons through raves a few times.
