[FONT=&quot]We are looking for the Camp Chef type stove, that uses 20lbs bottles, or bigger, in good working cond. We would love to have them donated, but can pay as well. These will be used to make hot meals every Saturday in Calgary for the homeless and the hungry. We currently have the little ones that use the green bottles, and it's getting expensive, as they are bought out of pocket,

[FONT=&quot] I live in far SE Calgary and can come pick up.

[FONT=&quot]Thank you in advance

They could also use a pop up portable canopy

are you just looking for the physical items, or would you take $$ as a fundraiser towards helping these folks out Trashy?

Could probably do either..... Yes looking for the physical items, but would accept donations, to help purchase what they need.

I am personally working with Government funded food banks and local bakeries, to help provide donated food, for them to cook.

Hearts for Humanity, Mother and 2 daughters, is just getting started and they are the ones, providing hot meals, free clothing and could use better portable cooking appliances.

Hence the reason of this thread.

Angels in Action, is a single recovering addict who is personally feeding the homeless with cold snacks, like; granola bars, juice boxes, chips etc

I have donated my time in the past 5 months of being laid off, to help these 2 and a couple of schools. To help feed kids at lunch time.
We use our 30x40 garage as one of the drop off and delivery hubs

All of my fuel, time, trailers and truck payments are donated to groups like these, out of my pocket

It's taking me to be laid off, to be a better person and understand what "paying it forward" really means

All help is appreciated

I have a 3 burner camp chef with the grill box.

If I had to do it over again, it would be a two burner. The grill box is way bigger. If you dont need the 3rd burner while you are cooking, than the two burner is perfect.

Opps I only read your first post Trashy, I thought you were looking for one for yourself. Sorry

If you get your donations, here at least saw a cabelas and peavey mart has them in their flyer this week for 199 and 229 if I recall. Two burner but no sides but those can't be hard to improvise with something

My wife and I bought a pop up canopy with 3 sides yesterday, for them. We're going to try and find a couple of more

Thank you to anonymous S&M member for a very generous cash donation, for us to buy a 2 burner camp stove today

Your timing is perfect, as it's not going to be a great evening in Calgary tonight

And That is something else I have recently learned, is that the women go out at 8:30 at night, set up and provide hot evening meals until about mid night

Had our first night helping feed the homeless. Thanks to the generosity of a few members here, the timing of purchasing couldn't have been better.

Can't tell by the outside pics, that it rained and snowed all night.
