I hope Toyota has improved there fuel mileage on there trucks when I had tundras from 2010-2016 I could not believe how much fuel I would go through in an unloaded 1/2 ton then when pulling a open 2 place with sleds on it it was just a thirsty beast.

Just pulled the specs on that hybrid, 437hp total mated to a 10 speed auto. It may be a grocery getter, but that thing is going to get up and go.

The hybrid powertrain gives the same fuel economy numbers as the Tacoma.

So still $hitty, buddy has a brand new Tacoma, burns on average 4 more litres per 100km than my 1 ton diesel does

10.5L/100km HWY is what it's rated at, which in my experience beats the F150 with the ecoboost or the 5.0, also beats the 5.3 in the Silverado. Of course not by that much.

The Tacoma is disappointing, 10.5 L/100km HWY is a bit for a little truck. My wife's Diesel Colorado is rated at 8.3 L/100km HWY, and gets that all day long, even driving at 130 km/h on the QEII.

Jaysus Murphy fellas. Guys don't buy Tundras or Tacomas for fuel mileage, they buy them cause they don't want to buy another truck for 15+ yrs. They can afford to burn some extra fuel for what they save in the cost of swapping truck ever 2-5 yrs, the lack of repair bills and the strong resale.

583ft lbs of torque at 2400rpm or around there, that’s a gasser to try out! I’m waiting for mine albeit not a hybrid, didn’t want to wait that long

I totally agree. first thing I did when I bought my 18 was turn off guage that tells me what my mileage is.

They can say whatever they want for mileage, real world it’s getting 13l/100 or worse

I would rather put a extra $20 for gas on a trip than need new lifters like all the newer GMC gasers.
