All the old guard here have stepped down but the young guys and gals have stepped up. It used to be you joined and they just had practices. Now it’s lots of courses taken on water rescues, firefighting, first responding and vehicle extractions. It’s a big commitment and all volunteer work. I admire the group in our small town. They are gung ho. We have a new fire hall, another new pumper, an inflatable water rescue boat and first responder vehicles. It’s a great community to live in.
