For the guy like me that are to cheap to buy that pump. Get a valve stem for a tire take the valve out of it. Then just drill a hole it the Jerry can and install the valve stem. The cap seals it good and does leak. Now you have a vented Jerry can!

you can also hook your compressor up to the valve stem and charge the can to 115psi this lets the gas come out easier and cuts the fill time in half. You are all welcome!

Haha, and oh, let’s not forget the knuckle and hand scraping locking teeth on the big black part of the cap. Haha, we can’t be trusted to tighten a gas cap now?
I remove that mofo for maximum gas can enjoyment!
That's the first thing I do with a new jerry can. Side cutters and it is gone. They are a royal pain in the butt. I agree 100%
