I thought we could amass all the pictures and videos in one thread. This fire season has started with a horrendous bang. My sympathies and condolence go out to all those who have lost property and possibly loved ones. With everything so dry to begin with and then the added dryness of the "heat dome", it may be a summer from hell.

Here are some pictures from Kamloops last evening and into early this morning as a thunderstorm is racking the region.

Just saw on facebook that tons of people did firewood around the kooc and other local area's. I guess some people just don't get it how bad it's out there

Makes you wonder when the western Canadian provinces are gonna get serious about providing proper manpower and equipment for the wildland firefighting season…..

Two fires are burning around Tumbler Ridge. Not a threat to the town, but they did close the road to Monkman provincial park.

Glad they have time and resources to get ready. I can only imagine the feeling of having to leave everything behind. Scary

My folks had to be choppered out of their place in Falls creek east of Enderby years ago because of mud slides. It still bothers my dad when he thinks about it.
I know it was not a fire but could have been the same out come of losing everything.

Kamloops

My brother lives outside Kamloops
They are loaded enclosed trailer and moving most important valuables like pictures out of the house this morning

Just to be ready

Thats a crappy feeling, But being prepared is the first step. Simple things like having a full tank of gas, all photos, and important documents stored on a removable hard drive, even pictures of your belongings on that removable hard drive.

Castlegar was buzzing Thursday night, hit it hard and now the mop up begin.

I remember reading 32 fire were set deliberately down in that area, and know i read the lytton fire was arson. There must be some financial gain to these persons delusional thinking. Quit cowing down to these creeps and put them in jail. No one should gain from killing people except for Omar.

Do gooders lighting fires so they can push the climate emergency plan. It’s kind of funny how no one’s heard of Lytton bc And it was a hotspot on the news for four days in a row so everyone got to know its name. Then it burns down. There is no coincidences
