well i wouldnt mind leaving it as a 1000 but "dad" says its to big for him and my brother

I agree. If a 1000 is to big then a 800 would be to. You could always throtle stop it. Tape something behind the throttle so it will only move so far when pushed

true but thats just hard on the motor not letting i t rev to its designed rpm.

bad harmonics on lower rpms that its not designed to run at

then my only other suggestion is to trade it for my 99 cat 700...it will be slower:d

peel off the 1000 stickers and put on 600 stickers make him feel real good cause your only ridin a 600 now.:d

i ride an 06 summit 1000, and i absolutely love it im a 250 pound man so throwing the 550 some odd pounds of sled around is nothing. the power you get used to. i still want more!

thats EXACTY what i was going to do (just put on the 800 stickers) because he said he'll take a 800 but not 1000
