Sidewinder fuel tank pick up

So anytime my MTX is around a 1/2 tank of fuel and is shut off on a facing downhill situation, it will not start. I physically need to pull the sled around to level before it will fire up.
Read a few threads regarding a fuel pick up elbow update as well as guys extending the fuel pick up line in the tank.
Anyone have any experience with this or made these updates?

mine will act up like that every once in awhile but usually have to get it below 1/3 tank

Im just dumb, its a private group so that would be why the link doesn't work.

Basically the pick ups at the front of the tank don't go far enough forward. There are 2 pick ups and he extended the clutch side roughly 9".

I guess that is why I don't have an issue with it in the flatlands. Sled stays level.
