Wouldn’t surprise me, between cancel culture and woke politicians, no more Queen Charlotte islands, no more NWT, goofs In Edmonton changed all the municiple election wards to Indian names. But god forbid calling a football team the eskimos.

Once again hard to believe that this even crosses their radar with this global catastrophe we have going on.... But I suppose they were concerned about chit like this when small pox was raging. This is all a scam top to bottom.

And if it wasn't called Eskimos, they would bitch that they weren't included/honoured in any sports I bet. What a joke

Why is anyone worried about BC's name? At least they have a name unlike the USA. United States of America is a description and they deserve to get a real name. 330+ million people lead to believe their country's name is America only because nobody has gotten around to name their country. When people say the word America I always ask "North America or South America?" And I should know because I live in "Canada of America." ; )

The world is a majority of idiots unfortunately; Most prefer to be led, and not lead. Baffles my mind how people can't figure out where North is without a compass. Is is so difficult to remember sun rise and sun set directions ? lol

Remember the A&W 1/3 pounder that was priced the same as McDonalds 1/4 pounder, and the A&W burger didn’t sell because people thought 1/4 was more than a 1/3rd???

this world is screwed by the generations that are coming up.. Things got out of hand a long time ago by removing offensive to some statues, renaming schools and buildings, over priced crossing lines to represent the gay, and the list goes on.. We all are treated the same and should have no special benefits because we are gay or offended by the name of our school.. This is our history changing things does not make it go away... The next generation is a bunch of self centered, spoiled, people that feel they should get paid top dollar for doing as little as possible, and bitch and complain about everything just to get attention.. When you get into a argument with a McDonalds worker that think they should be making huge money at their job so their GF can stay at home with their 4 kids and not work, and their complaining that they should be paid enough that they can afford a house that is in upwards of 500k. Instead of doing like the rest of us have done and work as many hours and jobs so we can provide a life for our family. We did not just stumble into our good paying job we worked for it.

Im glad i will not be around to see what these next generation's are going to do to this country...

No you are wrong, it is all good. If we let them erase our history then no misjustice ever happened and then they will have to stop blaming us for everything.

Have to disagree ...have employed many great young people over the years and just about everyone of them was committed and hard working. Respect is a two way street. A lot of the current crap can be placed at the feet of the media and particularly social media and especially at the feet of a lot of politicians of all stripes. Change is inevitable and not always good and not always bad - just a need to find a balance.

Etymology[edit]

Alberta was named after Princess Louise Caroline Alberta (1848–1939),[21] the fourth daughter of Queen Victoria. Princess Louise was the wife of John Campbell, Marquess of Lorne, Governor General of Canada (1878–83). Lake Louise and Mount Alberta were also named in her honour.[22][23] The name "Alberta" itself is a feminine Latinized form of Albert, the name of Princess Louise's father, the Prince Consort (cf. Medieval Latin: Albertus, masculine) and its Germanic cognates, ultimately derived from Proto-Germanic *Aþalaberhtaz (compound of "noble" + "bright/famous").[24][25]

Princess Louise, Duchess of Argyll

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Princess Louise, Duchess of Argyll, VA, CI, GCVO, GBE, RRC (Louisa Caroline Alberta; 18 March 1848 – 3 December 1939) was the sixth child and fourth daughter of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert. In her public life, she was a strong proponent of the arts and higher education and of the feminist cause. Her early life was spent moving among the various royal residences in the company of her family. When her father, the prince consort, died on 14 December 1861, the court went into a long period of mourning, to which with time Louise became unsympathetic. Louise was an able sculptor and artist, and several of her sculptures remain today. She was also a supporter of the feminist movement, corresponding with Josephine Butler, and visiting Elizabeth Garrett.

Albert was born in the Saxon duchy of Saxe-Coburg-Saalfeld to a family connected to many of Europe's ruling monarchs. At the age of twenty, he married his first cousin Victoria; they had nine children. Initially he felt constrained by his role as consort, which did not afford him power or responsibilities. He gradually developed a reputation for supporting public causes, such as educational reform and the abolition of slavery worldwide, and was entrusted with running the Queen's household, office, and estates. He was heavily involved with the organisation of the Great Exhibition of 1851, which was a resounding success.

And that My Friends is why Alberta is known as a Redneck Province. Wait until the snowflakes hear about that.

Me to i have hired some great young employee's over the years but they are getting harder and harder to find... heck the last one we hired started telling us what to do and what he was or was not going to do... We finally gave up on hiring for that position as kids were thinking they were going to get 30-40hr to push a broom...
