5L jugs on sale at Canadian Tire for $47.99 till Oct 1. This is the full synthetic stuff. Mineral based is $27.99.

Excellent oil but really hard to start your sled when it cools down.
At - 25 and colder you can't hardly turn a twin over with this stuff.
With rewind anyway.

How do the power valves look after running the shell synthetic for a season?

Just about anything . Lol
It's a very good oil other than the cold start problem.
I just run the 100% synthetic Doo oil and it seems okay.
If carbed and running the Shell we would choke engine till stopped for the night.
Helped with cold morning starts .

No problem took me a few seconds to fiqure out what u were saying, But u are right, was a old time cold weather trick

You put them behind the track when parking on a hill, to keep your sled from rolling away during the night.

haha, yes it is, had to read the original post a couple times to find out what he was saying, lol, i'm about as sharp as a dull chisel.
