I heard rooms are a bit scarce in Valemount and Blue River. I see a bunch of guys out here digging for oil or something however there are rooms available at the AVOLA LODGE in a place called Avola. It's 39 kms south of Blue River and about 14 kms from Finn Creek staging area. We have double suites with 2 bedrooms . Each room has 2 queen beds and a pull out hideabed. You seriously cant tell the difference between an oil rig "digging for oil" or a pipeline under construction to transfer oil/energy ???

Never really looked. Out here we usually find oil while shootin at some food . Then up from the ground comes a bubbling crude. These guys is diggin every day in a different spot and they ain't found none yet. Personally I think they're wastin time.
