Can you quad in there or is it home only ?
You have to hike in. The last 200’ is pretty steep. We brought a rope to help out with the climb in and out. Had to pack my daughter in and out on my back at the end. Really neat back there though. Can climb to the very top of the falls to the left and climb around the back side and follow the river bed up along ways.

Did some more back road exploring around Ainsworth today.
Could see a rainbow above Riondel across the lake.
A shot of the Ferry heading to Balford from Crawford Bay.

And a 1959 school bus from the Kamloops all GM show at Smith Chevrolet from sunday. He drags that bus. Best run ever was 10 seconds. Usually around 12 second.

I've got one that's been sitting for 2 weeks lol. Gonna order bearings and put er together.

I've always been the fool who bought bearings from the dealership. ...until now. I had a brain fart and roasted a brand new bearing for the housing while hammering it in. I wasn't pleased about having to re-buy a $85 bearing, so I finally went to a bearing supply place and got the identical bearing for $44.

Went into Sandon today. Really cool little ghost town. Loved the electric station they had. Some cool equipment. That's an Old turbocharger in the one picture.

Then did a short walk through Kaslo. Part of a volute from a water station left in the bushes.

Quite the drive over the pass into Kaslo. Also kind of neat from Kaslo into Balfour.

Did you go up to the top at Sandon and look at Idaho Mountain down in the States? Kaslo and Nakusp are neat little out of the way places. Found this rock carving in Kaslo outside the pub in the water front hotel.

No we never did that. I had the '58 and wasnt wanting to drive any further up mountain roads. Dad was telling me about Idaho peak. Said he really wants to do it one of these years.

The story that went with this when we got this tract in the late '70s, was that there was a shack over this cellar where a bachelor lived, homesteader maybe, he was found dead from being kicked in the head by a mule. This is obviously off the beaten path.
