If you can't get answers from your local tire shop then go to the guru's at Snow and Mud. Here's what I need help with guys. I have a 2016 Ford Super Duty F350 Diesel SRW Crew cab Lariat. I want to buy some nice aftermarket rims for the summer season and want to use my factory LT275/65R20 tires. I don't want any lift more than I have (1" on front). I'm trying to get my head around what offset I need? Not interested in having my wheels sitting outside of the fenders. Stock stance so no need for fender flares. I was told I may need a 20x9 rim with +19 offset. I can't find what the stock rims offset is on the internet? Anybody that can offer up some info having some experience in this? Thanks guys!

Example:
Ex.: 7J x 15 ET35
Rim width (in) x rim diameter (in)
J is mounting flange type.
ET35 is positive offset of 35mm.
It is vital not to deviate too far from the offset of the wheel originally fitted to the vehicle.

Looks like your truck has 8Jx20 ET40

So Zal I believe the spec sheet I read said my center bore on my stock alloy rim is 124.9? What would the stock offset be then?

So how would I decide on what I can get away with for offset if I can't find a +40 wheel I like Zal? I'm going milk you like a rented cow now that I found someone that knows what they are talking about! HaHa!:rolling:

Hahaha, now that’s funny.
Even worse is the amount of milk you’re going to get is going to be equivalent to milking a bull Cause that’s all I know!

Remember This About Wheel Offset

  1. New wheels and tires can make your everyday ride look and handle a whole lot better.
New wheels can give a vehicle a sportier look

  1. Offset measurements can be tricky. Even if the tire and wheel have enough clearance, the wrong offset can decrease vehicle stability. Generally, with new wheels, you don’t want the new offset to be more than 5 millimeters different from the old offset.
  2. Especially when your new wheels are wider than the originals, backspacing has to be factored in along with offset.
  3. To make sure your tire and wheel package fit right, stay within load capacity and give you the handling and stability you need, ask a tire professional for advice.

Ok here's where it gets complicated.. Superduty's wheels are hub centric vs lug centric. There are only a few that that truly are hub centric fuel wheels is one. Its all about hub diameter!

Above is a brief description, but the concept is super duty lugs have a flat face if the hub is overbore there is a high likely hood that you could bolt it on off of true centre.

sorry buddy went deep down the worm hole after I tried everything to get a few sets of rims to balance and just threw away money! All you need to compare is the centre hub diameter vs stock if its not with in a mm or 2 don't consider them. I want to say 124.9mm is stock but you can buy spacer rings for oversize hub wheels. I am sure thats lots will dispute this but physics really trumps all this. If its bolted on not true to centre you will never balance. Shakes piss me off..

It makes sense though when you think about it. If you are loading a truck hard you don't want to have the wheel moving around or start snapping off lugs on a rough road.

It doesn't move around as much as continually rotates off axis. No matter how well balanced the tire is if it is bolted up off centre.
