Sold my old ram and throwing my deck in the my new work truck. Right now I just got a rubber mat and ratchet straps in it till I figure out the best way to mount it. So many different opinions out there ha. I plan to bolt it down and use turn buckles with jam nuts.

Now should I also throw plywood under the deck? Are plates enough under the bed where the bolt mounts to. Should I build a bracket to tie it into the frame? Maybe try to run a cross bar between bolts(haven't crawled under to see if that possible)

I haul my 4seater sxs and the 2 kids quads in the summer, sleds in the winter. Ram just had 4 1/2 bolts and never had issues, but alway thought I needed to do more but just got lazy lol. Want to do this truck right.

I always did turnbuckles with jam nuts and then a couple wraps lf electrical tape on the nut/thread because I found that they would somehow loosen off

I bolt the front of the deck down over plywood with extra large washed on bottom of truck.

Turn buckles the back of deck down also over plywood, mostly for spacer/clearance.

Never had an issue, always tight.

I would put plywood under the legs for sure. I didn’t on my last truck and sure wish I did.

Do you do the whole bed in plywood or just a pad on the foot? Ontop or under my mat?

Just plates under the legs. I like wood so it compresses and stays tight. Most decks come with aluminum plates though.

I did the whole bottom with 3/4” plywood. Just cut to fit. Sometimes I remove the deck and the plywood base
