MINISTIK to HAY LAKES SNOWMOBILE TRAIL

The Hay Lakes trail is up and running. It will be groomed again soon. This trail is very very hard to sign all the way because the trail goes across FARMERS fields. We have it sighed as much as we can. PLEASE be a little patient to ride this trail. The snow blows a cover over the trail and YES it is hard to follow. We can NOT sign it ion the farmers fields thus a little hard to follow. If we groom it again (which we will) we hope it we be readable. The snow conditions play a big part on this trail. NO snow , groomer does not show a trail. SO please be patient !!!!
OH ! The Trail does start going to Hay Lakes through the ally way at the Centennial Camp Ground.
THANK YOU one of the TRI-COUNTY members

The Ministik to Hay Lakes trail is now grromed and you should have no problem seeing the trail now

Please stay on the trail and do not short cut aross the fields as this is where the farmers have agreed to allow us to cross. All of the Hay Lakes Trails are on private land and it has taken years to get the farms to agree to allow us to cross their fields...so please do not anger the farmers so we loose the right to ride on their land.

Warm weather for this weekend -- so lets make some tracks...

THE Hay Lakes Trail has been Changed AGAIN !!!!!! The trail has only the changed from Centennial Park to Miquelon Lake highway. So coming out of Centennial Park (the little ally way) (heading South) turn left and stay on the east side of those trees. Follow the groomed trail south!!! And follow the sled tracks. We can only hope this helps !!!!

Ministik has been groomed - Dec 21

We took the groomer out and groomed the North Section of Ministik both directions.
Then from Oliver Lake to Joseph Lake and south to the town of Hay Lakes
That was 2 guys grooming for 16.5 hours and 230 liters for fuel
This takes from 9:00am Tuesday to 1:30am Wednesday morning.
The south east section will be groomed just after the New Year
The trails are looking great with all this new snow.
So if you see a quads or horses on the trail stop them and explain the damage they are doing to your groomed snowmobile trail and ride else where when the trails are groomed.
After all, the better groomed the trails are, the better ride for you and your family.
Will load pictures later...

Our group did the trail to Hay Lakes on the 27th. Found it very easy to follow. The group had a good time. You guys did a great job signing the fields and crossings.

Is there a campground or picnic shelter in Hay Lakes to rest and have lunch?
