Looking for information on lake Koocanusa?
Anyone camp and boat there? I see the Canadian side is approximately 51 km long and the USA side is approximately 72 km long. I heard folks camp, atv and boat out there.

If you’re down there, check out Baynes lake and Surveyors lake in Kikomun park just east of the lake. We drove over the lake to the marina, I think there’s camping there too. Then headed up the FSR over to Yahk, BC in the truck. Cool area up there… SXS, free ranging cattle… could camp easily

Lots of deadheads and trash early in the season in Kookanusa. Caven Crk / Teepee Crk FSR takes you up and over. You can take the Gold FSR down into Cranbrook. If you stay on the Teepee Crk road then you turn onto the Yahk River road and you come out right the dump.

Can't just camp up there any old place / all over randomly as there are grazing lease holders.
