Heading to Kaslo next weekend to do a little spring exploring. Any decent areas a guy should/shouldn't check out? 4 of us heading there to ride Friday, Saturday, Sunday. Willing to travel an hr in any direction.

Meadow Mountain is going to be your primary area. Brennan / Jardine or Dryden also. It will likely be "busy" (by Kaslo standards LOL), most of the areas open up from heli / cat ski operations this time of year. If you wanna go to the Hot Springs, know that you have to book in advance.

Not the best area for sled trailers. Decks are the best there.
Were bringing a couple trucks with decks, and the sleds are coming in a trailer behind one of them. If we can get the trailer up great, if not we can ferry the sleds up on the deck. Excited to see some new terrain, even if the snow conditions aren't great.

Thanks for all the feedback, keep it coming.

Retallack was founded as a snowmobile area but the ski business has tried to claim it. You can still sled there but be aware of the possible conflict and if you give them room there won't be a problem.

Thankyou for the insight, Were a pretty diplomatic group and have rode/co-existed in ski sensitive areas before.

We will see how they respond to us in their habitat. Like as long as they agree Doo's rip then were going to get along merrily! :skidoo:

Rode Buchanan lookout today trying to connect it to the empire cabin. Found a little short/long cut back to the truck.

Ran into some friends of Teth-airs. Great people, and we had a pretty interesting creek ride out.

Day 3, and Kaslo did not disappoint. Had another great day with some of Teth-air’s buds. Can’t recall the name of the area, but seen some great sites and big terrain.
