So I have a problem with my sled fouling spark plugs.

So decided to check spark plug wires and checked coil resistance.

My Question is.

The service Manual specs the secondary coil resistance to be 18k ohms +\~ 15 %. All other measurements are exactly to spec.

So both my coils measure high 12k ohms. 12.84, 12.74.

So mine are both low from spec about 30%.

Anyone have knowledge on how this affects the spark. Does the lower resistance in the secondary increase or decrease the voltage output to the spark plugs?

New coils look to be a couple hundred bucks each.

Your coils are fine, your getting hung up on a ghost.
The only thing you should be worried about is continuity or not, a bad coil will have no continuity the rest is irrelevant, its not a rocket ship.

Thanks. Figured since both sides are the same and the sled runs that they were decent.

My plug issues have been 10-1 PTO vs mag side.

FYI
99% of fouling plugs is caused by over oiling. Oil penetrates the electrode porcelain when the engine is running and depending on the amount of oil getting used will shorten the life of the plug...foul it, short it out.
Unfortunate nature of a 2 stroke.
Yes it will look like a wet spark plug and many will automatically blame the fuel or ignition systems, generally that is not the problem in todays sleds.

Also oil that does not meet your sled manufacture specification, lower grade oil are bad for fouling.

starting to think maybe it has rings that are flaking. this was a hit "n" miss problem in 2011, 2012 also.
