So I’m looking for a sled to ride around the lake etc, would like to find something in the 140’s track range. Found a 2008 doo with a 146, says only a few hundred km’s since a rebuild. Don’t know much about doo’s since I’ve always run Polaris, any info would be much appreciated.

Every 4500 kms do pistons. The ring locater pins rattle loose. Bottom ends last a long time if running good oil and proper warm ups

Great motors had just over 5K on mine when I sold it, If their are no receipts to show the motor was rebuilt I would look for one with less KM, original owner ect. Have fun !

The rebuild time was around 7000 km on ours (had several of them). All mountain miles with a lot of high RPM. Never rebuilt one as I always sold them after a year or two. Good steady motor.

I had a 14 summit sport with 800 ptek. Bought new and the crank went at 1500 miles, top end went at 3400. I would avoid any ptek personally.

Had 3 Ptec sleds, none made 2500km.
Crank on all.
Isoflex maintenance is critical on those motors..
Any weeping from behind plate and it's service time ASAP.

I’ve more than a few p teks, One went 5000km before it blew, another at around 8000km, another one made over 12,000km, and another made close to 14,000kms all mountain kms too. So it can’t be that bad of a motor.

I had one. 4600 on it when I sold it and still ran like it did on day one. I put a RK 13.5:1 head on it and it made awesome power. Mine was a 09 hill climb edition. It’s was my favourite sled.

Yeah... I think 2010 and newer were better for some reason. Mine was a 2011, no probs. My Brothers 2008 PTO crank bearing went at 2000km.
