Hey guys,

I have sold my 2006 Switchback 600, and am looking to get into something a little more deep snow specific with a bit more jam (around a 155) I want to stay with an IQ, and spend less than 7K on a new one. Here is what I am leaning toward...

- 2010 RMK 600 155 - $7000 - 350 miles - Piped, can, headlight delete, clutched, underseat bag etc.
- 2009 Assault 800 146 - $6800 - 1147 KM - new recalled motor, can, gas rack, etc.
- 2010 Polaris RMK 600 155 - $7500 - 900 miles - can, scratchers, stock mainly.
- 2009 Polaris Dragon 800 155 - $6500 - 2740 km, 450 kmon the new fix kit. Intake kit, storage bags.

All of these sleds appear quite clean and in good shape. Now, entering the dark side...

- 2008 Rev XP 800 154 - $7400 - 1600 km. Can, spare plastics (is completely black from yellow).

Ahhh!! I am really digging the 2010 RMK 600 for 7K. Its quite trick and looks new..

thoughts, comments! Concerns!! Things to watch out for???

The polaris 800's 2008 -2010 had a ton of engine issue's. i have a 2008 dragon 800 163 and have gone thru several motors. i put the fix kit in it over the summer, but have yet to try it. The one with the fix kit will be a good sled. I have talked to several people that have done it and the motors run strong with no issues.

If you stay with a 600 you wont really be getting that much more jam. Yes the 2010 600's make a few more HP than the 06, but not enough to really notice. Take a look at the 2009 dragon with the fix kit, i think that will be the best bang for your buck. im sure you can get it for $6000 with some good negotiating.

Im not a big fan of the XP. They are good for a point and shoot sled, but if yu like the way and IQ handles, the XP will feel like a tank.

Hey thanks for the info.

I have ridden an XP once before, and thought it was pretty nimble, and it hauled ass. It was a 2012 800 Summit X with a 146. Not sure how the 2008's were though. Guys who have them seem to really dig them.

I suppose one main reason I looking for something more deep snow specific is the low end power, and the deeper lug, and being a bit longer. I really didn't want to tinker with my Switchback and dropping 1K on a track, plus gearing, etc.

I do like the Dragon, and the nicer components....the Walker Evans seem good. I think I would miss my Fox's going to the Ryde FX on the 600 RMK.

I am pretty indecisive! If you couldn't tell

The 2012 summit is way better than the 2008. I've driven both. You cant compare the 2, plus the 2012 has the E tec motor, which has amazing power.

Then look at the 2009 dragon with the fix kit. That sled will rip and wont break the bank. The walker Evans on the dragon are pretty good, unless you way more that 190, then there 2 soft.

The dragon wont be as fast as the 2012 summit, but it will be way faster than your old 600.

Go to the IQ section and check out the " lets see your IQ", my buddy and i have are done up dragons on there. Were on page 12 i believe. We have spent alot of time making them unique.

If you can find a 700rmk you won't be disappointed! Can keep up with the 800 and won't need to rebuild the motor every weekend. I have a 08 700 and it rips for it's size. There are a little less money, and all one dose is add oil and gas every ride. The next question will be if you can't find one. Many of them don't sell because no wants to get rid of them. I'll be keeping mine for the gf to ride and have it for a spare for the mountains. Really look around and check one out it's worth the time in books!
