I made my first trip to the mountains last weekend after not being there for at least 15 years. I went and bought all of the gear Avy beacon, Spot, had the emergency gear, good sled and cloths. I found one of the biggest things I had overrlooked was the drain on your energy and over all body,muscle function at high alt. Im in average shape but found after getting stuck 2 or 3 times, I was completely exausted and my heart rate was out of controll. My 2 cents is that you can have all your bases covered but make sure your prepared physically for the trip!:d
