Chances are next mayor is no better when you have a city full of left wingers who vote in socialist councils, Iverson only had one vote. 2012 to 2020 debt increased by 1 billion dollars.... incompetents at wok.

Yep they leave with filled pockets and no consequences for the actions and dept they created .
New elected try’s to get things back in order and get out of dept .
Accomplishes that and then voted out and the left gets back in starting the cycle all over .
Disgusting and until the politicians are held to account this will never change.

Chances are your right. Hopefully there won’t be such a douche bag running in the next election. If he ran again he would be surely voted in.

I think Edmonton has another Liberal who hasn't come forward yet but I believe he will be throwing his hat in the ring and when he does, he will win.

Amerjeet Sohi will likely run. He is a strong Liberal. He lost his federal seat. He was a popular on city council.....he'll win hands down. Unfortunately, Mike Nickel does not have the backing to beat sell-out-Sohi.

Would imagine sure as .... Iverson runs for federal liberal seat looking to make 2 terms and retire on an MP pension.

Media gives the debt a free pass that I don't get, 1 billion in debt created during Iversons tenure that’s $274,000 a day! All the bums in tents in the parks should be living in 1500 sq ft homes at that rate.

I don't know if we would have won again, I think he got like 30% of the popular vote in the last election.
I’m not sure what the popular vote was but if I recall Iveson beat out all the other candidates by a long shot. I think part of the problem was there was a ton of unqualified candidates who split all the non iveson votes.

I hope not. That would be a down hill slide for Edmonton. It does blow me away with how left leaning the voters of Edmonton are. I hate to say Calgary is better at anything but they vote better.

Times are tough for everyone and these politicians should be treated no differently. There should be be no pensions for them. They should have to go out and get a job like everyone else to support themselves and their families! See what kind of a mess they created and or contributed to.

that should be the way. But what will happen is the self righteous douche bags will vote themselves a raise for “handling the pandemic so well.”

I disagree. We are worse than Edmonton in that regard when it comes to municipal. Somehow Nenshi keeps getting voted in. When it comes to wasting taxpayer money there is no one as bad as Nenshi. This is just his latest on his long string of wasted dollars. Who votes for these clowns anyhow?

Yea Nenshi is terrible too. But when you look at the provincial ridings, Edmonton went completely orange. There are a lot of left wing nutjobs here.

That's not surprising with his stupid spending. It would be nice if we could one day get rid of the tax and spend politicians who don't know the meaning of fiscal restraint.
