Anyone riding tomorrow (Sunday) that wouldn’t mind a guy tagging along?

Experienced rider with all the gear and AST training.

Thanks

Can someone tell us how Silent Pass conditions were today? Made it to km 49 and buddies sleds seized. Called it a weekend

Lol, sounds like you are wanting to hear that it was horrible and didn't miss out on much.

Sucks about your buddies sled though. At least it was on the trail and not way back in silent - take that as a blessing it happened earlier rather than later that day!

We had to drag on out from the second lake one time. That was a long afternoon! Good old revs in 07.
How is the trail into silent might be coming for a day or two first of the week. Groomer rolling again?

I always need gas with an etec. Nothing worse than idling out of an area full of pow cause your low on fuel. Coulda smashed more tracks down. It's also a good idea to have some fuel in the group in case a guys spends the night.

0 is required.
Kinda like crawling into your foxhole with only one mag. Might be enough. I'd rather have extra and not need it then need it and not have it
One linq can should be enough for those machines. We've hammered some pretty big km days back there before and needed it coming out
How's the snow thete lately. This storm cycle bring the goods?

AVALANCHE AWARENESS DAYS:Postponed to January 27!

Quartz Creek

Conditions: There's powder in the trees and where others have travelled less.
Grooms scheduled: Jan10,12,13,14
Fees: $25 - Everyday
Parking: The parking lot is cleared
Road: Watch for ice on the trail.
Additional notes: Quartz has seen heavy traffic lately but there’s always a spot that has the goods.

Gorman Lake

Conditions: Powder and packed powder, thin snow on wind swept ridges.
Grooms scheduled: Jan. 11,13
Fees: $25 - Everyday except Tues/Wed
Parking: Lots of parking at 3 km (main) lot.
Road: It's a steep mountain road, please use chains and lower gears.
Additional notes: Gorman has seen some wind so the best snow is in the trees.
You might have to travel far to find the best snow.

Silent Pass

Conditions: Powder and packed powder
Grooms scheduled: Jan 10,13
Fees: $25 - Everyday except Tues/Wed
Parking: Parking at 21km.
Road: Road is passable to the 21km parking lot.
Additional notes: The long sled in means that the good riding snow has been more preserved than usual in Silent.
The GSC paid for road clearing on Dec. 29 from the 7km to the 21km.
There has been snow since then but not enough to stop traffic from getting to the 21km parking lot.
Updates on maintaining this road will be a week by week decision.

We hit silent today. Lake was tracked. We went over and rode fresh lines all day and it was cold on the way up but was great up top

Heading to Golden next Wednesday anyone been in the back bowl of silent recently or into Hope Creek. Quartz was whipped last weekend. And didn't make it to the back bowl in silent was socked in so we played in the trees.
