hey fellas, what kind of life does a 2005 800 have in it? Wondering if I need to do new pistons and dual rings at 2000 km's?

Well how mean are u to it ? Do u ride it cold and rattle the pistons ? Spray nos at it ? Big head and pipes ? Overheating? Any of the above yes u need pistons . If u answered no to all of the above u will be fine. A sled is like a woman do u have a bad girl that powders her nose with cocaine and party all night or a little sweety that likes stay in with a movie . Don't be fooled they both will cost u money. Lol good times

The wife rides a 2005 800 switchback that we bought new has over 4000 klms runs great did the clutches last year compression still up there if you have any doubts just do a compression test cold and hot there should not be more than 15-20 percent difference between the cylinders
