Quite possible Ken, Fernie is known to get the goods (my favourite hill on a powder day) i want to ride down their this year so I hope so.

We skied at Revy yesterday and the snowpack is definitely down from normal. I would say almost a meter less than it usually is by now.
Yeah I think we have talked about this in this thread in previous years. I find it so strange that sledding conditions in Revy are 10 times better than in Fernie yet Fernie shows more snow? I always yell fake news at the TV whenever I see that. Lol

Haven't sledded in Revy yet this year but Willy told me he isn't going back until they get another meter minimum. here i suckamoose it is really pathetic. Riding gravel for a few km is the acceptable norm for the boners running the show

Generally speaking, the Revy ski hill gets less snow than most of the surrounding areas and the Fernie ski hill gets more snow than most of the surrounding areas.

That is my experience from being a skier and a sledder.

Once off the things about the ski hill, is that the first 100cm or so of their reported snowfall total was washed away by rain. Same thing at most of the BC resorts that got big dumps early on the season.

another thing too is the FSA is spending HUGE $$$$$$ on all the damaged area's like Coal Creek and Morrissey. Money that was certainly allocated for other expenses. So please if your going to ride Corbin or any other Fernie spots or use the cabins PLEASE buy a annual pass or a day pass. I have been hearing that some of sledders are not stopping to pay. for the sledders that don't pay you are hurting EVERYONE. Not going to rant anymore but if you don't want to pay maybe go somewhere else.

We met up with some friends right after they dug the skidoo out back at the notch yesterday.

First trip out, had a great couple days in Fernie.
Staged out of Morrissey both days - never seen so many trailers and decks as yesterday. Both lots full and people on the roads for quite a ways. Trail was great, nicely groomed both days (thanks FSA). Windy both days with clouds on and off but we found lots of good snow! Felt great to shake the rust off.
Today on our way down I found a red aluminum shovel handle on the trail so I left it at the kiosk if anyone is looking for it.

Rode from morrisey yesterday. What a difference a week makes. The snow is ch!t. Hard packed from warm up! Needs a major reset before I’ll go back that’s for sure.
