Half of the excitement of F1 is the sound. They did increase rpm +3000 because the turbos quieted them down too much. I can’t see F1 ever going full electric, it would be the end of an era.
Plaid is ugly as hell and only good at a straight line. Can’t compare electric performance to ICE, electric is far easier and cheaper to make go fast. It takes the challenge and fun out of it.
Once the real car makers get behind some of the electric models, they will eat Tesla’s lunch. However, I don’t see a lot of true car enthusiasts buying Tesla, they seem to be staying with their ICE cars.. for now anyways. For me, electric has no soul, no character, I can’t see any sort of EV racing really taking off, the noise, the change in noise and sound is half the enjoyment of a racing environment.
So when they want all us folk to be ummm electronic vehicles
Elon has stated Tesla isn't a car company as much as it's a data company. He wants all the data the cars are collecting and will sell that data to everyone else for astronomical money.I'll be interested to see what happens when traditional automakers begin build EVs en masse. Tesla is already a decade ahead of them, and had to undertake very rapid development to ensure survival. I'm not sure when automakers, particularly the big 3, will catch up, with especially considering much of there R&D is still being spent on ICE vehicle.
Tesla is as much a tech company as they are an automaker, and I think that's key to success. It doesn't take long clumsily fumbling with the displays in vehicles from any one of the big three to realize they are automakers, not tech companies.
There are going to be growing pains, Chevrolet has recalled every battery pack in every Bolt they have produced due to the chance of fire, mostly due to manufacturing defects when the cells were made by LG. A mistake that will cost GM $100 million and LG $1.9 billion.
Yes because not one dam was built or maintained by a petroleum base vehicle. Bc has coal just like Alberta have fossil fuels.
Yeah and someone rode their horse to go work on the assembly line for the model T, what's your point?Yes because not one dam was built or maintained by a petroleum base vehicle. Bc has coal just like Alberta have fossil fuels.
we will need to strip mine a few parks to make enough metals to produce wire and batteries. Very safe and Enviromental friendly, hell a few thousand trees to hang the wires from too.
But Nobody rides a horse to work at Ford anymore. like Tex said there is only so many places to generate power from and there is no clean power source. Just like this planet it can only support so many needs, short of a bolt of lightning I’m not sure where this power source is coming from.Yeah and someone rode their horse to go work on the assembly line for the model T, what's your point?
