Kanedog 2015-2019, thanks for the good times S&M!
I bought a motorcycle tire/Kanedog clutch balancer for $122 cdn. It’s kinda like Rich Daly at dynoport uses. It is sold from Chilliwack, BC, Canada! While it’s not like a digital $10,000 balancer, it gets me closer than factory and it’s kinda fun! Clutches, Lawnmower blade balancing, motorcycle tire, dildo or whatever! I recommend to balance clutch pieces separately and then the whole assembly but do whatever you feel is best!
Anyhoo, I thought I’d share the info for those who are bored af and want to entertain thy self by balancing whatever your snowandmud heart desires!
Cheers ya buncha homos!

I think Rich uses "knife edges" rather than rollers for the "static balance" we do it the same rough balance turbine/compressor rotors, then off to the dynamic machine for a real balance.

IMO the roller balance is better than not balancing but knife edges would be more accurate for static balance.

Food for thought KD.

i have a few of these balancer stands. Venom brand. I trust these stands more then the $1700 Major Motorcycle wheel balancer, what a piece of chit!! But these lil stands have to be set up perfect and weight needs to be in the center of the stand only...i wouldn't trust a clutch on one hahaha cool idea tho dog

Youve got some aweful marks on both clutches and what looks to be a blown belt id say balancing is your last worry.

Primary sheave ugly marks are from reversing with a secondary that has no reverse capability. Good eye! The odd looking marks on both sheaves are from doubling out with big, steep, long ass climbs. So much fun! I’d say we had a total weight of 500lbs of human and 100lbs of gear, pelicans and backpacks. So 600lbs of cargo on a 154 was exhilarating! I’m a touch too heavy on the primary weight so it’s yanking open the secondary, causing some odd slippage marks. I like the sheaves to look nice and even. It was the second time out on the setup. I was surprised I got that close with the Tra/Stm on a Cat! There’s still a few days left this year to get it to tuned better. Next step is dropping 3/10 of a gram at a time till it does what I need it to do! Woohoo!
