Is there anyone riding Blue River this weekend (Sat/Sun) that doesn't mind a tag-along? I'm good with driving myself and my own hotel.
I'm an average rider, like the mellower trees. Around Blue I've rode Salmon, Foam, Groundhog, Redsands, Holy Grail. Would like to ride Salmon if possible. Not much for super steep or climbing all day. Most of my crew is not riding this year and I'd love to get some more seat time.

Ride a '17 Summit 850 165
All gear. (Avy pack, probe, shovel(s), beacon, garmin inreach)
Lots of mountain riding but haven't taken my AST1 yet. I have watch most of the Avalanche Canada webinars.

PM me if interested.

Well my neighbor ended up with the weekend off. Drove to Blue on Friday. Weather was really nice. Over the bars snow while riding Salmon on Saturday. Creeks were pounded out but easy to find fresh.
Only 15-20 people riding from the Finn Creek staging area Sunday Morning. Rode Groundhog East. Only 5 sleds in GH. Over the bars snow once again.
Looked like they were going to get a big reload while we were leaving. It was snowing fairly heavy on the drive home going through Vale.

Going to be a great week for those that have a chance to get out. I'm guessing Vale, Blue, and McBride will all be good choices this week. Have fun all, and ride safe.
