Folks,

The Bighorn Country is being proposed to be changed from current Public Land Use Zones into Parks, Recreation Areas, and a large Public Land Use zone that extends to Drayton/Rocky.

This is being done OUTSIDE of the NSRP process, and completely disregards all input and recommendations to date.

This survey is VERY IMPORTANT, and it also is a VOTE. If you do not support these massive changes that WILL restrict your current activities, then have provided a guide for answering accordingly. There is no middle answer. Supporting a Park activity, is supporting the Parks.

While people may be unmotivated to do yet another survey, this is the one that must be done. The Government in this case, did not make it a park yet as done on the other changes down south. The results of this survey– will be used to determine the outcome, and even provide possibility of reversal even if done with majority opposed.

While fully supportive of Public Land Use Zones – this Government has proven repeatedly by all actions in Southern Alberta and elsewhere, that it simply is focused on reducing your trails and recreational access versus supporting. We have lost over 90% of our Trails Access in Castle, and 70% ofour Trail Access in Porcupine/Livingston. If Bighorn Country happens, then there is absolutely no other proof to show that the same will not happen here.

There is over 150 thousand OHV/Sled users in Alberta, and many more families and users responsibly enjoying our backcountry. This is the time to step up and act if you want to continue to enjoy it.

The recommended answers provided, are only of mine and do not represent any organization or group. It’s just my recommendation based on my experience and understanding of how the government is using these surveys as “consultation”. Add/Edit your answers as you wish, but make sure your opposition to these changes is known.

Pretty much the same as the answers I put. I'm not really sure we will be listened too but I guess we will be heard at least. Kind of thinking we will be pushed out of the mountains altogether except maybe very remote areas unless they are parks already.

Just an FYI it is much easier to copy and paste the answers on a laptop or desktop than your phone.
