Yes, all of life is a learning curve. Some days the curve is steeper than others. The curve with cooking shrimp isn’t that steep but I have made some mistakes, so I to have learned.

I buy raw shrimp Ken. That way, I cook them the way I like them whether on a grill, in theThing, or fried in a pan.

That's the way we were buying right off the boats in Mexico.

Charcoal is still the king over LP and LNG. Looks good man!

Absolutely. I switch between this and my kamado joe. Love using charcoal.

Found some Mesquite hardwood charcoal and they produce a nice flavour. A couple of Prime Rib steaks with bone-in turned out well. Not real flexible on the small Back Yard Q for browning but they were tasty and not over cooked.

Is it crazy sparky lighting it? I've tried a few different brands and I feel like my house is gonna burn down when I'm lighting it. Jealous devil is the best I've found so far

I smoked my first brisket yesterday. I started at 4:00am and it was done around 8:00pm. We had my wife's parents and aunt over for supper. There were 8 of us and there is still a lot left over with only a 10lb brisket. Everyone loved it. I guess I'm still in the family!

I use an electric element to start ours. Not a problem but there is a warning on the bag that they can throw off dangerous sparks.
