No problems in person. It's all hardware and probably a bit of technique.

Hit or miss with these I think. I tried it, didn't last long. Bought a Kenwood and been happy ever since.

Got one and sound was pretty good, def better than the cheap baofeng etc, and at 1/3 the price of the kenwood I think it’s a pretty good happy medium. Seems like most the cheaper mic’s are a bit more sensitive to where you speak into the mic. Also adjusting your own radio down a little bit can help with some distortion etc with the cheaper mic’s I’ve found.
