Here’s a pee jug setup so you don’t have to freeze your huevos off in the middle of the night!
Will the 850 run on pee for oil?
As long as you drink 100% castor oil - that's kinda dated too - they used to drink that sh*t back in the day

What is the 100:1/50:1 ratio referring to?
It's telling you that you can use the oil as a pre-mix oil at a ratio of 100:1 and be completely good to go - 90% of all other 2 stroke oils are rated at a pre-mix ratio of no less than 50:1 - now everyone out there needs to get there head wrapped around why that is - I've rebuilt stand up jet skis from the bottom up that have 190 psi of compression and a sh*t tonne of hop up parts - joined forums and chatted with people in the south that run amsoil saber in there very expensive motors and there's a reason they run it - I'm not sure if its safe to run it in an oil injected machine or not - I'm just saying I know the difference between an oil that is RATED by the manufacturer to be run at 100:1 and not 50:1 and that and that alone is the reason I run the oil that I run

The problem side was black and rich. Lots of oil sitting in the reeds.
The mag side looked really nice.

Tossed on a powder freak head today. And new reeds. The old ones were in bad shape.

Compression went from 115 to 135 and 120 to 130.

The powderfreaks on an etec works awesome - stock 2 piece wedge style reeds and reed block are terrible - just not tough enough of a design - reeds should always be a one piece block for structural integrity IMO

Just piping in- never read the whole thread. I’ve used nothing but amsoil interceptor in all my sleds. Ski-doo 07,09,14,17,18 and will continue with a 22. Never an issue....

Yes… once again, it’s good oil! My employer has been a dealer for decades.

Can’t wait to hear how the mods did!!
Let's just say they did not.

After fighting belt drive issues due to having the wrong pulley, he finally got that sorted and off for the next trip. 4km up the trail and it was overheating, and couldn't keep it cool. Was down coolant, so put 1l of water in. Spit most of that out the overflow. Turns out at least one dome cracked. Heard from a performance shop that this is very common with the powderfreak heads, particularly when you torque the injector to spec.

Last years early domes were noted for that. Think he got it sorted out now ??
Ruins a trip tho and not a fun job by looks of it to swap them out

Yeah, I think he's gunshy now though. Going back to the stock head. Good enough with the Boondocker. 2 trips this season so far, and he's been on the spare sled the whole time.

So anyone run Amsoil in there 850 etec and/or in a 850 turbo? Any comments

at $65 a jug, I burn through 10-13 jugs a season. There is a decent cost saving of $4.20L switching to amsoil

basically the saving would cover my sled
I run Amsoil Interceptor in both 850 one is turbo one isn't best oil hands down ran it in all my sleds from the early 2000
