Did he end up putting the older clutches in niner ? Or was he able to make the stock ones perform ?

That's were I am with current clutching, 55-60mph depending on snow conditions with a camo extreme 162x3
Used stock clutches. Ben and Paul worked quite a bit on the clutching and got a good setup before he sold it.

I have my Evo tuned sled ripping good on Thunder porducts weights. Thinking of giving Dalton a try this season.

Rebuild has started. Drop and roll completed. New 8 tooth drivers installed. New rear 153 tunnel section install. Iceage elevate skid assembled. Specialty belt drive ongoing.

How much higher are the ice age spindles? 1000 bucks seems little steep but i dont see any other options.

2" lift. There are a few other options now it looks like that don't require you to get the rails if you don't need them. Think they lift the sled 1.5" and just require you to relocate the rear skid.

This is interesting I had my old winder tuned with Evo as well and played with clutching a lot that first winter in 17. Worked well in the end but clutching was always hot. Tried different sets of weights springs angle of wrap tighter was an old Nytro trick but in the end just had to give it more breaks. Ended up switching back to the two strokes as I found they just floated better and regardless of brand cooler clutching.
Ya, I’m giving the old clutches a go this season, figured it’s the same chassis as the viper so if these don’t work I’m outta options and will be joining you on a smoker lol. I really hope that’s not the end result though I really love the power and handling of this sidewinder.

What other options are there besides the elevate kit? Just found out that the elevate rails don’t work on the 17 sidewinders without the drop and roll, I wonder if the spindles alone make that big of a difference and if it’s worth it?

Should throw this track in it yet. 165” 3” with 3.5” pitch. I can cut it for you. Some turbo guys ran it last year with great results.
That's gonna be a popular track for the doos after the OEM track fails.

You know if any turbo 4 strokes run it or heard of any? Just constantly hear rumors of paddles folding from the torque. And id to get new drivers, already in the bad books with the Mrs. Lol

Does the coupled suspension come with the elevate kit .?

No I took the Racers Edge parts from my stock skid and transferred them over. Elevate kit only comes with rails and some hardware for the rear.

Well got it 95% back together just in time to leave for work. Couple small things left to order and install; rear bumper, mountain fit headlight delete, different track tensioner bolts, front intake box (didn't realize I needed this for the plastic swap), front bumper and graphics. Looks so much better I think, parked will look like a twin rail Mountain Max. Didn't get everything done I wanted but gives me something to do over the summer and lose a few more pounds. To big of a difference between the electric start and non electric start seats for a quick swap. So i saved making a new gas tank, seat and moving the turbo until the off season.
