"The 2014 Polaris Pro RMK gets an improved Quickdrive system, updated piston rings, small refinements and tighter tolerance thresholds to improve reliability.
The Quickdrive belt will be 25% stronger at hot temperatures and 40% stronger at milder heat. The specifications for each pulley will also have a higher production standard to reduce failures before and after the break in period. No tensioner and no machined pulleys.
Improvements to tolerances for the drive and jackshaft as well as torque specifications have changed to eliminate failures and premature shaft/bearing failures. A Service Bulletin was released to adjust torque specs last Friday for the 2013 Pro RMKs that will improve durability as well. The 2014 Polaris Pro RMK 600 and 800 will come with the driveshaft collar from the factory that was added to the 2013 models."

No new drive no machined pulleys

That has got to be Joke.... Collar really. Talk about taking the High Road. Wow!! Did they fix the Carbon Fiber Cross Shafts from shearing?? Did they address the lack of GLUE on A-arms??

Is it true that they have reduced engine hp in 2014 to meet EPA standards?

hah!
Ya sled rumours.. If you go and look at their past season perdictions... it's lame. I sometimes feel they are less 'in the know' than the general public.. LOL

right, too be fair just cause sled rumors said it does not mean its right, just look at the news, sprawling for info and post stories with next to no info just to get a story out. Where did they get that info?? The new belt and stuff sounds good but the clamp thing looks to just be thrown in at the end of the paragraph, if they made the steel piece insert 2" instead of 1/2" and have a better quality process then that would make people happy.

I just messaged sled rumors to see where they got the info. If it dose not seem reliable i guess we can ignore it till the sneak peek events.

Do you think Poo is stupid! They obviously screwed up a few of these on purpose. Why would they address them when they do it on purpose?
They NEED warranty to make a profit, right? Without warranty think of all the extra taxes, out of work employees from dealership to suppliers, engineering teams in soup lines and stock holders getting too much cash. Sheesh!

Poo sells 100% of their sleds based on reports on the internet. Real world stuff means s#*t. Without making some fails Poo would lose market share because it's the negative posting that gets the big reviews. Poo knows that so in 14 they will probably do more!
Poo knows how POWERFUL the sled forums are. Would there even be a forum without Poo purposely building in defects? Don't bite the hand that feeds you.

All these inovations are done to add to warranty claims. I don't know why you don't see that. Think they care about sleddin. No way. It's all about keeping the internet alive.
Sheesh.

Maybe they feel if they redesign the 2014 drive axle there will be a backlash from 2013 owners wanting the new fix for free? They obviously have alot of faith in the Klamp to do the job. I'm glad they are keeping it. Should keep these forums active for another year. Lol.
