Looking ahead to next weekend will we be driving up the trail to stage or is everyone still staging from the parking lot or down below by the collection shack?

It will depend on the weather, right now everyone is still staging in the parking lot as there is no where to park by the collection shack. Also no one is supposed to be driving up the trail yet as it will seriously wreck it. Renshaw is not being charged at the moment as it is too warm to groom but we are waiting to see how the weather plays out on tue and wed when it is supposed to cool down. It is spring riding however if people start driving up the road and rutting it up no amount of grooming will help.

Lucille and Bell still have good snow on the trail but right now it is raining so it is just a waiting game to see what happens throughout the week.

Nice pictures and posts guys and gals!

Grooming 101 and the first thing that you learn......everyone can groom better than the present groomer operator!

How in the world can you groom mush? Let's not even get into hydraulic temperatures and the rest of the difficulties in the spring.

If the SnowCat is stored on the mountain there is an extended grooming season but if it is stored or has to be stored at the bottom just suck it up and slowly ride the bumps.

OMFGosh.....the whiners!!

just to add to this, if peeps start driving up the trail, grooming will come to an end immediatly, so stay off the trail with your trucks.
the parking lot at 2 km has a ton of snow on it so will not be able to use it for awhile

It's spring that's what happens.....next people will be complaining about mud in the first km....

I think we should install a refrigeration system in the trail from the parking lot up to the Renshaw cabin. That way we can ride until all the snow has melted up top.
We can increase trail pass fees to $1000.00 per sled until it's paid for. :d

We could haul snow in like at the olympics..... or install a plastic sled friendly mat along the entire trail so we can access it year round! ...... the same people that complain about how rough the trail is (in the spring) are the same ones that complain about the 20 dollar fee.... really nothing will make them happy!

The trail up to lucille was in great condition till someone tore it up with a quad...

The guy who took his quad up lucielle was a local who doesn't sled he just quads. It has pissed alot of local people off. And we do know exactly who it was.

We had a great weekend of riding, Friday was awesome, lots of untracked powder from the storm a few days earlier, would never have guessed it was April on the calendar. Saturday, seen the snow set up over night though and it was definite spring conditions, but never seen a soul all day until we came down. One thing to note though, be careful out there as there is about 18" of storm snow sitting on very hard crust and it's ready to go at any time. We seen and heard lots of signs of how unstable the pack was and had one small slide come down on a hill we were on. Can't wait for Easter now!!!
A few pics.

We're coming out to McBride this Thursday.

Just wondering if the weather was cold enough last night - or possibly tonight - to allow the Renshaw trail to be groomed one more time. Rest of the week looks like it will be too warm overnight.

We're coming - regardless - just hoping from 1 or 2 more smooth rides up Renshaw.

Thanks
