Hi Everyone,

In light of the most recent round of restrictions, we're going to have to postpone this cleanup. I refuse to plan any event that is going to bring any sort of bad publicity to our sports, and even though we would be out doing good things, we all know the media would flip it around to "OHV Enthusiasts plan mass gathering during COVID Restrictions"......

We will look at this again late May or Early June, I've also reached out to John @ the county to let him know.

Did he have any no trespassing signs up?

Probably not but these azzhats need to understand you can't squat on other peeps land and law enforcement needs to enforce that.

Agreed. Lots of city folk don’t understand that not everywhere outside the city is crown land. They’d be mad as hell if you parked your truck on their front lawn. Unfortunately if you don’t post your land people can enter at their leisure. They can’t stay, but they can enter. The crown prosecutors won’t lay trespassing charges for unposted land unless other crimes have been committed or it’s a repetitive trespass. Lots of people think it’s unneighbourly to post land, but unfortunately nowadays its necessary.

Ignorance is a weak defence.... private is private. It is up to the person trespassing to know that.

Try hunting on someone’s land without permission... explain that to the CO and see how far ignorance gets you....?!

You must “Know before you Go”....

Agreed, guy at work got charged with trespassing couple years ago. He crossed the corner of someone’s else’s property to get to the property he was hunting and they seen his truck parked on the road and tracks in the snow. Someone called it in and the CO gave him a trespassing ticket.

Hunting without permission is a crime, one that gets added to the trespassing. If someone enters unposted land, they won’t charge him without another crime being committed. Let’s say someone enters your land, drives up to your house and asks for directions. He won’t be charged unless he commits another crime or your land is posted.

Hi everyone, now that restrictions are being lifted a bit again, I'd like to go and get this done......

Saturday June 12, 9am meet at the Tim Hortons in Westlock, then we can head out to the site for the cleanup.

Westlock County just reached out to us to see if we are still able to swing this, please let me know either on the site here, or by email if you can make this work with your schedules!!!!!
