I used to pull a 5th wheel (dry 7000lbs) with a 2011 1 ton duramax. We were using the 5th wheel less and less, so in 2020 I went to a 6.2 1/2 ton and put a 5th wheel hitch in that. It did fine, but if price is not a concern, I would go with a 3/4 or 1 ton.
Great idea and I like the group name. I am 46, but half the crew I ride with is 50 plus. Typically ride Sicamous area! Been trying to cross paths with ferniesnow for a while now. Should be riding Sicamous and area January 26th weekend.
Our crew recently got into the Klim Atlas 26 and Klim Aspect 16. The packs don't not use a air canister, big reason for getting them. Shovels are not on the outside. I believe Dave Norona has a review posted somewhere on the site.
I am just wondering if anyone cleans there new belts with soap and water before the put them on/prior to break in.
I heard a guy mention that he cleans his new belts prior to using, possibly to remove anything left on the belt by the manufacture.
